MaydayLog exists to decode real maritime accident investigation reports into plain English case studies — making critical safety knowledge accessible to marine engineers, cadets, officers, and maritime professionals worldwide.

All case studies and incident analyses published on MaydayLog are created for educational purposes only. Our content is intended to help maritime professionals learn from past incidents and improve safety at sea.
MaydayLog does not publish content with the intention of:

These reports are published by government bodies in the public interest and are freely available to the public. MaydayLog summarises, analyses, and adds original educational commentary to these reports. We always credit the source and link to the original report in every case study.
